Meet our founder

Jennifer Carnegie is an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of experience supporting children and families, and the founder of CarePrompt. Throughout her career, Jennifer has worked with hundreds of families across pediatric rehabilitation, community care, and multidisciplinary therapy settings.

Jennifer began her career at the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre before founding Milestone Therapy Services, a pediatric therapy company that grew to a team of over 17 therapists. Following the sale of Milestone Therapy Services in 2012, Jennifer went on to serve as Clinical Director overseeing three clinics and supervising a multidisciplinary team of more than 50 therapists.

Over the years, Jennifer recognized a major gap in care: families often received great strategies during therapy sessions, but were left on their own when real-life challenges happened at home. This passion for closing the gap between therapy and everyday life led to the development of innovative real-time support models through Invisible-Care+, and eventually the creation of CarePrompt.

Jennifer’s work focuses on helping families feel supported in the moments that matter most — from morning routines and transitions to emotional regulation and daily challenges at home. Her approach combines practical coaching, real-time guidance, and compassionate support that meets families where they are at.

Jennifer has received several professional awards for innovation and leadership, including the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT) Innovation Award in 2023 and the Ontario Brain Injury Association Award of Excellence for Rehabilitation Company of the Year in 2024.

In addition to her clinical and leadership work, Jennifer is a regular lecturer within the McMaster University Occupational Therapy Program and is passionate about mentoring and supporting future Occupational Therapists.
